This week again, several giant firms have made news for their lawsuits and developments in the industry.

• A proposed class action lawsuit accuses Microsoft, GitHub, and OpenAI of scraping licensed code to develop GitHub's AI-powered Copilot application.

• Google has unveiled MusicLM, a new music-generating AI engine that exceeds previous systems regarding song quality and fidelity to text prompts.

• OpenAI, the research lab behind ChatGPT, has developed a tool to verify whether a text was created by AI but warns that it is not entirely reliable.

• Baidu, China's "Google," is preparing to deploy an AI-driven chatbot powered by the 10 billion parameter AI model ERNIE 3.0.

• Eleven Labs is rethinking its safeguards after users misused the tool to produce deep fakes of celebrities' voices with abusive language.

• Zoom has unveiled "Zoom Virtual Agent," a chatbot that uses AI and machine learning to provide quick and tailored replies to customers and employees.

And then there is Nothing, Forever taking over Twitch. Check it out:

It's a sitcom parody stream created by OpenAI, Stable Diffusion, and DALL-E. The show covers the lives of Larry, Yvonne, Fred, and Kakler. Although the 3D elements are premade, the motions are produced at random by AI. Skyler Hartle, the program's creator, sees the show as a platform for future AI-generated content.
